When a girl gets a synth…

…you’d think she’d make music, like a normal person might. Instead, I decided monster noises and otherworldly sounds were the better choice. This is the website of Avareth Taika, sound designer for video games and film. Using a variety of analog and digital modular synthesizers, I create everything from ambient soundscapes to futuristic space ship noises. I also often synthesize sounds that would otherwise be foley, such as footsteps, which not only means I have complete control over the sound and how it evolves, it also tends to create a unique sound that, so far, people seem to like.
